Jerad turns 26

We started off the celebrations with a party at our house that I somehow lost all the pics of. I don't know what happened! Anyways, Beth, Tyson, Dawson and Anabell, Heather and Nick, Noah, Aiden and Lucinda, Melinda and Larry, Addy, Joey, Taylor, Ken, and Alex all came and then Tina and Tom came down from San Fran and Jerad's best friend Travis made it down from San Ramon.

We bbqd in the freezing cold, then played Rock Band and had cake. Everyone got Jerad either BBQ or Rockbard related gifts, so needless to say, he was in heaven.

The next Thursday, his parents took us to see Randy Travis. AMAZING!

Aside from seeing the Counting Crows (my all time FAVORITE BAND) from about 5 feet from the stage, this was my favorite show ever. He was funny, and personable, and made you feel like he was playing just for you. And he told jokes. Anyways, if you ever get the chance, I would see him. Randy Travis wasn't even in my top 10 favorite country singers and like I said, second favorite concert ever.

Friday we headed up to Santa Margarita Lake for a weekend of camping.

There were kids:

Critters:

(this is where the lizard jumped from Taylor's shoulder DOWN Dom's shirt:)

Friends:

And fun:

Also check out Beth's blog for more pics and a much more eloquent explanation. Plus she calls me her lesbian soul mate and says nice things about "Mr. Jerad" score!

Happy Campers

Besides spending all morning looking for my keys, only to give up and have to ask my brother in law for a ride to work, I'm having a great day!

Thursday Jerad picked me up early from work, and took me to a Dr. appointment and then we palled around SLO and did some shopping. That night we went to a Randy Travis Travis concert with his parents. It was soooo much fun!

Friday, and Saturday night we went camping with some friends at Santa Margarita Lake which was also tons of fun. These are a few pics Beth took:

Here are some more pics to keep you busy until I manage to sort through the million or so I took. I loves me some camping. Food, sleeping, alcohol, guitars and banjos by the fire, friends, what else do you need?

Ooh, Jerad also got his drunk on for the first time ever. After all, he did turn 26 on this trip. It was super cute. He is such a sweet, talkative, silly person... just picture that multiplied by about a hundred. One of the funniest moments was when he was wandering off to relieve himself, sort of stumbled into a tree, grabbed it to steady himself, and was all "look guys, I'm a treeeeee hugger!" Oh babe. Also, kind of frisky when tipsy. It was highly amusing.

For those of you who don't know Jerad, let me just explain how amazing this is because he doesn't drink alcohol. At all. No beer, wine, mixed drinks. NOTHING. It must be something about Santa Margarita? Hmm.

When we got back on Sunday, we went through our camping stuff and took inventory of what we would need for the next trip then went out and bought it (propane, white gas, rope, trash bags etc). That way all the camping stuff is packed and ready to throw in the car and all we have to do is go to the grocery store. We also splurged on a few new things I've been wanting (shhh don't tell Dave). They will make our Yosemite trip a little cushier.
