Home on the Range

I can't completely explain this post... but let me try.

My dad has always made jokes that he just wants to be a hermit and we should all wear bonnets and go back prairie days or something like that.

So, for his b-day we thought it would be hilarious to actually dress up that way. Jerad decided to take pics and threatened to make a calendar

Oh goodness. Yes, I did just post those pictures.

We met at my parents house in the afternoon.

They are building a waterfall thing and wanted us to pic out some rocks for it. We drove a few miles there...

And then ended up walking... I dunno, 50 miles it felt like :)

We picked out sopme giant rocks, and then some small ones. Jerad was nice enough to carry mine:

And here are a few pics I took along the way to keep from dying of heat stroke and to take the mind off of the fact of how I had a bonnet on my head:

Mothers Day

For Mother's Day, Jerad and I took his parents out out to brunch (go Touch of Paso!) then to see "What Happens in Vegas." After that, we met up with his sister Jill, my sister Melinda, my mom Michelle, my sister's mother in law Denise, and her sister in law Nicol.

The day before Melinda, Nicole, Addy and I spent 8 hours making a set of handmade cards and envelopes for each mom. This is what we came up with:

Mine:

Addy's:

Nicol's:

Melinda's:

Family pics, awe, how cute is everyone?!?

After that we kicked out Addy and the dads and got down to the serious business of wine tasting. First we went to Cass.
Okay, see that star? Jerad and I made it two years ago when we went Wine tasting for Jill's 21st b-day... I feel famous...

Then we went to Penman Springs. You can tell which families are the "puzzle people." Also they offered to let Jerad and I get married there and Rosie said her and her hubby would cater it. Haha I guess thats what we get for going there like every other weekend... Then Beth (the owner) went on a tirade about marriage counciling that put a damper on the mood... ANYWAYS, I really really really love this winery. I have soo many Penman Springs wines and they are all good. And I love love love their tasting room.

We finished up with Tobin as usual. I found out one of my neighbors works in the tasting room!

Happy Mother's Day mom's, I love you all and had ton's of fun.

Easter

Jerad and I never get each other Easter gifts, well except for the broken toe and and $800 medical bill he gave me 3 Easters ago (just kidding babe.... kind of). Anyways, about a month ago I saw the cutest, softest, stuffyest bunny in Pier One and told him that I would kill him if he didn't get it really wanted it. I never like stuffed animals but this one was just adorable and so cuddly. As Easter Sunday got closer and closer I figured he didn't buy it in time and they were all sold out.

Imagine my surprise to wake up and get this:
and 2 dozen of these:
and these way cool bracelets and rainbow nerds which is my favorite Easter candy:
I was soooo happy and felt soooo guilty for not getting him anything. Oops.

At noon we grabbed his parents and went to my parent's house along with his brother Joey, and sister Jill and her husband Marlon and son Carter. There were a few of my family members there along with my sister's in laws.

The weather was soo nice and beautiful. I have been majorly slacking with my picture taking and apparently only took a few shots of Carter. This is him being thrilled beyond belief that he got to sit on my dad's John Deere:

How cute. He'd just say "look at me, I'm DRIVING" over and over and tell us what the different levers did "bucket, scraper, fast!"

And this is him Easter egg hunting with my little sister Addy. Cutie-pies

Happy Easter!
