Photo Dump #3

One morning Marshall asked me for a "road" to play with for his tractors. I couldn't find any masking tape, but we had some scotch tape so I just stuck some on the ground. He played in the same spot for 45 minutes!

Jerad got off work early one day last week and the kids were going stir crazy so we threw them in the car and ended up at Heilman Park in Atascadero.

Miller usually wakes up as soon as the sun comes up at 5. I change his diaper, hand him a toy to occupy himself, then Jerad and I sleep for another 30 minutes or so.

The first thing Marshall does when he wakes up is run into our room and maul Miller with kisses

Another day last week Marshall fell asleep on the couch while I was making lunch. This hasn't happened EVER. Well, once he randomly fell asleep when he was 6 weeks old but I think that was the last time.

And Miller is just a cutie:

Alright, as far as pics on my phone we're all caught up now!

Photo Dump #2

It turns out I had a lot of pictures on my phone. So I'll break it up into a few posts.

Marshall and Miller were playing this adorable game where they sit in a laundry basket, and steal a pacifier back and forth then laugh and laugh about it:

In the car after lots of strawberry samples at the farmer's market

I'm actually really proud of the next picture. The downstairs guestroom in our house had become sort of a catch-all crap room. It was easy to just throw stuff in there, close the door, and forget about it. Jerad also had a desk in there that he used as his home office and his filing system was basically "if its on a surface, its important, if its on the ground it's not and maybe I'll throw it away some day."

We have plans to replace the flooring, light fixture, add paneling to a wall and a few other things so I kept waiting to clean it up until we were going to remodel it. One day I needed to find a receipt in there and got so disgusted I decided to just see what I could clean and rearrange while the kids took their afternoon nap. They ended up taking a looong nap (3 hours) and I completely cleaned up the entire room:
No longer looks like it belongs on Hoarders! And there isn't even anything stuffed under the bed:)

Our double stroller had a flat tire so I managed to cram them both into the single

This is a new favorite past time of Marshall's:

window "washing" with water and a towel

Snacking on Sunflower Butter and celery

trying chocolate milk (coconut) for the first time

wanting more

"pwease mama?"

Watching a puppet show at the zoo

I keep sitting down to write a blog then realize I don't actually have anything to talk about. Our days are filled, but nothing exceptionally exciting lately.

Miller doesn't really sleep (well, that's what it feels like lately:) so I'm in a bit of a brain fog.

I know the family likes to see pics so according to my iPhone, this is what we've been up to:

Miller likes his feet. A lot.
morning snuggles

bro's
Making paleo tortillas

Marshall working on picking up bears with tongs

Children's Museum and FLOAM. I forgot how awesome that stuff is!

Pizza delivery boy.

Apparently he wasn't feeling very "gluten free" on this shopping trip.

Piano

Hanging out.

Watching his big brother have all the fun.

A few weeks ago I went took Marshall to meet a few friends at a morning playdate at the park by our house. I asked Jerad to pack me a travel mug of coffee and he sent this:

Not at all embarrasing. Its probably close to 2 liters... he must have thought I was REALLY tired :)

Marshall making Paleo Morning Glory Muffins

washing up afterwards

So, that's a little of what we've been up to lately. Working, playing with babies, and cooking. Pretty much the usual.

Miller sitting up

Right after Miller turned 5 months old, he started sitting up.

As you can see, he's pretty proud of himself. He doesn't get into a sitting position by himself, but once we put him there he'll stay up for... well I don't really know how long because after a few minutes Marshall bowls him over. He is very graceful at falling though, and usually curls up and lands on his side. We don't bother putting pillows around him anymore (I guess that's the ONE positive thing about having carpet in this house). I seem to remember Marshall would always fall right on his face.

Marshall and Miller, 5 months

I was going through some of my old pictures on facebook and saw these of Marshall when he was Miller's age:

First of all, oh man I forgot how adorable Marshall was! Secondly, I think they look a little similar right?

Marshall is on the left, Miller on the right.

I need to look through the pictures on my old hard drive and find ones where they are posed the same way, but this one was close. They definitely aren't twins, but they are similar!
