Babycakes
So, yesterday I.felt.like.crap. It was all I could do to drag myself to work and get through my 10 hour day. After work I called Jerad and told him I was going to go to Trader Joes since we were completely out of groceries and I was getting tired of eating things like soup for dinner.
When I got home an hour and a half and 9 grocery bags later, Jerad was in the front yard washing brushes and rollers. While I was at the store, he had put a second coat of paint on the entire laundry room. I was so surprised. I asked if he could carry in the groceries for me, and he said that he wanted to finish up washing the brushes but he would help me put them away.
I made about 6 trips back and forth (shut up, they were heavy and I was sick) feeling sorry for myself... and hoping he would get done in the meantime and help me. I mean, come on, I went to the store, carry in the dang groceries!
He finished up at the exact minute that I did and noticed that I was moping and asked what was wrong. I told him that I just felt tired and nauseous and sick and was having a little pity party because I was not looking forward to putting away all of the groceries, cleaning the house, and working on the remodel stuff for a few hours.
So, my sweet darling boyfriend kissed me on the head and told me to go snuggle up on the couch. At that point he commenced putting away all the groceries in the right places, and doing things like putting the new peppercorns in the pepper grinder, and cleaning out the fridge before he put all the new groceries in. Then he came out and brought me dinner... Yeah, I know. Pinch me.
After asking me if I needed or wanted anything else, he whistled his way to the back yard and watered my sunflower sprouts then worked on finishing the laundry room. Just as I was getting up to feed the dogs, I heard him do that too.
So, I had a total self indulgent night of relaxing on the couch and catching up on Sex in the City re-runs, the new Tori and Dean show, Kitchen Nightmares and Farmer Wants a Wife and had lots of warm fuzzy feeling for my hunny bunny.
When the laundry room was all put back together he straightened up the kitchen and changed the vacuum bag for me. It was really really nice to have a night of pampering, I hope this is the new standard. Just kidding, but I really did appreciate it. And when he asked if I thought it would be fun to go watch him play softball tonight with some guys from work... outside... in the 800 degree weather, I said "absolutely! that will be a blast!" and didn't mention that I really was hoping that we could see Carolina Rain who is playing at Hoovers Live in A-town tonight... for $10/ticket... which is AMAZING. Its okay though, I'm not a die hard fan or anything. And watching him play softball will be super cute:)

Well how nice of Mr. Jeradpants! If only other men out there would read of this blog and be so inspired (I'm cosmically hinting in Larry's direction)...
Hey, are Carolina rain any good? I was thinking of going to see them. But then, I kid you not, I have to go to the grocery store because I have food but nothing to eat...
