Where Jerad redeems himself

So, after I went all bitchy on Jerad last Wednesday, he totally made up for it this weekend. He fixed the lawnmower and mowed both lawns, bought a weed-eater and edged the lawn and weeded other placed that needed it, hand weeded the plants on the porch, got rid of the weeds in the back yard that have been driving me CRAZY and keep surviving the Roundup that I have been dousing them in. He helped me trim the trees in the front yard and took away all the prunings, finished moving the sprinklers in the lawn, and repaired one sprinkler that sprayed more "up" than "out."

He also made big progress in cleaning up the yard on the side of the house. Oh yeah, he picked up dog poo in the back yard. He has NEVER done this without being asked... not once... and we have had the dogs for a year now. After it got dark, he helped me finish a few crafts that I needed to get done for a baby shower I am planning and then even emptied the litter box without complaining. That was just yesterday, all weekend he was doing little things around the house and helping me out.

I write this down not to brag but to remind myself that as frustrated as I do get sometimes, he does try so hard. Its just not always on my timing. I'm one of those people that always wants everything done "now now now" and he is a "eh, whenever" type. This combined with me being full blown a teeny tiny bit (so people tell me) OCD poses a few problems. Such as, I can't understand why in the world he can't do things as soon they need to be done, and he can't get why I can't just chill and wait a few days... weeks... however long it takes.

In the past 2 years I have calmed down a lot (no more staying up till 2 or 3 AM to make sure the house is perfect before I go to bed), and he has stepped up a lot (ie the whole first part of this email). Hopefully as more time goes by we will come to meet in the middle at a place that makes us both happy, or at least just me cause thats all that matters. Just kidding:)

In the meantime here is my lovely yard:
Oh man I crack myself up! Okay, give me a break, its Monday! Seriously though, I need to remember to take pictures before it gets all messed up when we redo the fence next month....

Um... im pretty sure we're with men who are one soul split into 2 different bodies. tyson did the same.exact.things this weekend, and also managed to fit in a date/outing with his wife in support of my new yogurt fetish. holla~! its like you say, gotta put it in writing or its gone the next minute when they walk past the overflowing trash can 7 times in one day.

sooooooo funny you say that because as I left this morning our trash can was def in need of emptying. You would think they would just learn to even it out instead of going back and forth between busting their butts and getting yelled at. cause lord knows I would rather be consistently content instead of go between bitch mode and ecstatic. oh well, some day?!?

I guess that's why they say opposites attract... :) Just to add, I had a pretty good weekend too. We even went to the park yesterday afternoon together as a family...so fun! I videotaped because of my inability to squeeze into the tight spaces on the slides, and the girls were pretty active in my belly and Marlon did all the playing and climbing and such...
